Using Diet to Increase Semen Volume

While penis enlargement is one side of things when it comes to male enhancement, another side of things is the increase of the volume of sperm that is released during an ejaculation.  This is not only important for pride purposes, but taking steps to increase the volume of ejaculate can also help with issues relating to attempted pregnancy.

As with most things however, there are natural steps you can take to increase the volume of semen you produce during each orgasm.  You can even try taking these steps before making a purchase just to see if the natural remedy ends up working.  The natural remedy is simply adding foods to your diet that have been known to help with ejaculate increase, such as the foods discussed below.

Amino Acids

Amino acids are referred to as being the building blocks of life, so it would perhaps make sense that they are also intimately related to the volume of ejaculate that a man can produce.  A man produces more semen when he is extremely aroused and arousal is simply a function of blood flow facilitated by the presence of different chemical compounds such as amino acids.  In particular, amino acids L-cartinine and L-arginine have been found to be helpful in this area.

Foods that contain these specific amino acids include:

  • eggs
  • turkey
  • tuna
  • sesame
  • seaweed
  • spinach

Zinc

If you add zinc into the mix, chances are that the overall results are even more encouraging.  Zinc is a transition element on the periodic table that has been shown to help with sperm production, especially when combined with amino acids.  Foods that provide lots of zinc include sunflower, pumpkin, almond, nuts in general, beans and oysters.

Therefore, a common meal such as turkey and beans would provide you with amino acids and zinc and could potentially help you increase your sperm volume.

Selenium

Selenium is another element that people don’t hear too much about, but it is also heavily concentrated within the testicles of a man’s body.  It allows for greater motility of sperm and can be found in foods such as cottage cheese, red meat and tuna.

Assorted Vitamins

There are three vitamins in particular that are important to the production of sperm.  The first two are Vitamins C and E, both of which are antioxidant substances.  Antioxidants are essential for sperm cells and the more of them the body has, the easier it is for sperm cells to propagate.  In addition to that, Vitamin B-12 contributes to brain function (and therefore arousal level), but also blood formation.  It therefore works at arousal from both the mental and physical ends of the equation.

All three of these can be increased through supplements, or you can go for foods that contain a lot of Vitamin C (strawberries, oranges, guavas, grapefruits, cantaloupes, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and broccoli) or a lot of Vitamin B-12 (animal proteins).  Broccoli is also a source of Vitamin E.

Water

Finally, no discussion of natural remedies is complete without mentioning water.  While it has no direct effect on the production of sperm, water will help flush toxins from your body and therefore indirectly affect sperm production.  Additionally, water is critical to the body’s health and dehydration (i.e. not drinking enough water) can really affect your performance in bed.  Overall, try to make sure you drink at least 1-2 litres of water every day.
